Ingredients

Instructions

  • Whisk the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon together in a wide, shallow container.
  • Heat large skillet or griddle, and melt butter.
  • Dip both sides of the bread in the egg mixture, ensuring it gets completely coated. Allow excess to drip off.
  • Place the bread on the hot skillet, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Add more butter to the skillet as needed.
  • Serve warm topped with fresh berries, a dusting of powdered sugar, and maple syrup if desired.

Notes

Prep Tips: Use day-old bread for better absorption of the egg mixture. If using fresh bread, lightly toast it first to prevent sogginess.
Storage: Best served fresh, but leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 2 days. Reheat in a toaster oven or skillet for best results.
