Strawberry Banana Frozen Yogurt
This Strawberry Banana Frozen Yogurt has the same amazing flavors and nutrition as a smoothie, but is thick, creamy and deliciously cold and refreshing!
Strawberry Banana Frozen Yogurt Recipe
This homemade frozen treat combines the classic flavors of strawberry and banana……which in my opinion were meant to go together. This frozen yogurt is smooth, creamy and super refreshing.
When my bananas start to brown, and I’m not ready to whip up some banana bread, I peel them, break them into fourths and throw them in a zip-top bag for the freezer. You can use them in smoothies, frozen yogurt, or you can still use them for banana bread, if you thaw them. This frozen yogurt recipe is the perfect way to use your frozen bananas!
The texture is like that of soft-serve ice cream, which is my favorite, or you can totally freeze it and scoop it up later. Depending on how cold your freezer is, you may need to run your ice cream scoop under some hot water before scooping it up.
Ingredients for Strawberry Banana Frozen Yogurt
There are only 5 ingredients for this yummy treat which makes it super quick to whip up!
- Strawberries – frozen strawberries work best for this recipe. You can use fresh if you don’t have any frozen on hand.
- Bananas – the more ripe the better! Use frozen for the best texture and flavor.
- Greek yogurt – I like plain yogurt best for this recipe, but you can use vanilla.
- Honey – for added sweetness. You can use more or less depending on how ripe your strawberries and bananas are.
- Lemon – gives a fresh citrus flavor and adds brightness to the other ingredients flavor.
How to Make Strawberry Banana Frozen Yogurt
This recipe is incredibly simple to make!
- Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender. If you have larger strawberries and banana pieces, I would recommend using a food processor. A high powered blender works also, but sometimes blenders have a harder time breaking through solid frozen fruit without more liquid.
- Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape the sides as needed.
- Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or pour into a freezer safe container with a lid and freeze for 3 to 4 hours before serving.
Frozen Yogurt Recipe Variations
This frozen yogurt recipe can easily be adapted to fit your personal preferences. Just swap the strawberries and bananas with 4 cups of your favorite frozen fruits! Use what’s in season and enjoy some fresh, soft serve frozen yogurt! These are some of our favorite fruit combinations:
- Mango + Lime – Think of this has a mango lassi – creamy, tart and amazing.
- Raspberry + Blackberry – The ultimate berry blast.
- Blueberry + Lemon – Like a muffin, but frozen!
- Kiwi + Pineapple – A tropical treat.
- Orange + Coconut – A twist on the classic orange creamsicle.
More Frozen Yogurt Recipes
Looking for more tasty frozen yogurt recipes? These are some of my favorites:
- Orange Creamsicle – fresh oranges made into a healthy and creamy version of the favorite childhood orange creamsicle popsicle.
- Creamy Mango – this is a dairy free version that is amazingly creamy.
- Frozen Cheesecake Bites – creamy Greek yogurt frozen in an ice cube tray to make these yummy bites!

Simple and healthy recipe!
OMG I can not wait to make this all summer long!! How many servings does this recipe make?
It makes 4 servings and use frozen bananas. I need to get the recipe card fixed. 🙂
Do they have to be frozen? Or can I use fresh & freeze later?
You can try it. I don’t think it will make a huge difference.
This looks so refreshing and delicious, Amber! We love frozen yogurt and the strawberry and banana combo is perfect!
My kids love this!! Super healthy and yummy!
Hi! Can I use regular plain yoghurt instead of greek yoghurt?
That’s just fine.
Thanks so much! It was delicious! Bonus because it’s healthy!
Very good
Fantastic!
All four of my grandkids loved this.
Do you think it would work in an ice cream maker?
We haven’t tried, but it should work great!
