Spicy-sweet Crockpot Meatballs
Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon basil, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs, seasoned
- 1 pound turkey, ground
- 8 tablespoon jam, all-fruit
- 1 cup sweet red chili sauce
- 1 cup brown rice, raw
- 2 medium apple
- 2 medium pear
- 2 cup green beans
Instructions
- Mix spice, egg and bread crumbs into the ground turkey, then form mixture into bite-sized meatballs. Sear them in a preheated skillet to brown the outside. Place in crock pot. Pour jelly and chili sauce over the top of the meatballs and cook on low 6-8 hours.
- Chop apples and pear.
- Serve meatballs over precooked rice, top with fruit, serve with a side of steamed green beans.
