How to Make Fruit Candy Cord

We started assembling our fruit candy corn with popsicle sticks, Dole pineapple rings, mandarin oranges, and bananas:We ended up replacing the sticks with toothpicks, and the bananas with apples, but you could still use the bananas for sure!

To get the triangle shape, I lined up the fruit and just shaved the edge off like this:

Are these pineapple chunks or the rings cut up? I know it says chunks, but they look thinner and wider like rings. Thanks!

Can you substitute the peanut butter for a nut free butter? As I’m going to make for a school snack and it has to not contain nuts. If so, What kind of nutfree butter would work? Thank You
