Homemade Peach Sorbet – Only three healthy ingredients and no ice cream maker required for this healthy, fresh dessert! It’s the perfect summer treat!
Why Peaches are Perfect for Sorbet
Nothing says summer more than fresh peaches! The house I grew up in had two huge peach trees in the backyard, so I grew up eating fresh peaches right from the tree, peaches in a bowl with a little milk, fresh peach pies, and of course homemade peach ice cream and sorbet.
One of the best things about peaches is that they are naturally so sweet they don’t need a bunch of added sweeteners. This recipe calls for a little sweetness from honey, but if your peaches are especially sweet you can even leave that out. I usually add a little at a time and stop when the mixture is sweet enough.
I also leave the skin on my peaches so I don’t lose any fiber or nutrients, but you are welcome to peel yours first if you want.
How to Make Peach Sorbet
The only things you’ll need for this delicious summer treat are frozen peaches (I buy mine fresh and them cut and freeze them when they are in season, but you can also buy frozen peaches at the store), honey, lemon juice, and a high powered blender or food processor. You can eat it fresh out of your blender or food processor or you can freeze it for a more solid texture. I promise, either way the whole family will love this healthy sweet treat!
It really doesn’t get much better than this homemade peach sorbet for a fresh summer treat. No refined sugar, no artificial ingredients, and only 3 ingredients. I love to garnish mine with a little fresh mint and some fresh sliced peaches. Dessert Perfection.
