No ice cream machine required for this Healthy Instant (5 minutes or less) Strawberry Banana Frozen Yogurt with only 5 ingredients!
Hello again! It’s Amber, visiting from Dessert Now, Dinner Later! I’m super excited to share this healthy, instant, strawberry banana frozen yogurt with you all today!
Those store-bought frozen treats are full of nasty things like high-fructose corn syrup and artificial colors and flavors, so why not make something healthy the whole family can enjoy at home in 5 minutes or less?!
All you need is some non-fat Greek yogurt, lemon juice, honey (for sweetness, if needed), and frozen strawberries and bananas.
When my bananas start to brown, and I’m not ready to whip up some banana bread, I peel them, break them into fourths and throw them in a zip-top bag for the freezer. You can use them in smoothies, frozen yogurt, or you can still use them for banana bread, if you thaw them. Just drain any liquid from them first.
The texture is like that of soft-serve ice cream, which is my favorite, or you can totally freeze it and scoop it up later. Depending on how cold your freezer is, you may need to run your ice cream scoop under some hot water before scooping it up.
My kids and I are totally not patient enough to wait and freeze this! We gobble it up right away!
This recipe is easily adapted to fit your personal preferences. Just swap the strawberries and bananas with 4 cups of your favorite frozen fruits! The fruit combinations are endless! Use what’s in season and enjoy some fresh, soft serve frozen yogurt!
If you have an ice cream maker (or time to freeze things), you might also like my Strawberry Peach Sorbet! It’s super similar to this soft serve frozen yogurt, but it’s dairy-free!

- 2 cup strawberries, frozen, unsweetened
- 3 medium banana
- 3 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, plain
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Place all ingredients into a food processor or blender.
- Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape the sides as needed.
- Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or pour into a freezer safe container with a lid and freeze for 3 to 4 hours before serving.
