- 6 medium apple
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cup water
- Peel, core and slice apples. Put all ingredients into a large pot, cover, and cook over low heat. Simmer for 30 minutes, or until apples have softened.
- Allow apples to cool and place into a blender, 1/4 batch at a time. Pulse a few times to make smoother. Serve warm topped with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon.
