How to Make Ricotta Toast {American Flag Style}

  1. Start with a good hearty bread like sourdough, or whole wheat. Toast until very brown and slightly crunchy.
  2. Spread a generous layer of ricotta cheese on top. You can use just regular ricotta, or if you like it more light and fluffy, whip it in a food processor for a couple of minutes until creamy.
  3. If you like a little more sweetness, you an drizzle a bit of honey on the ricotta before topping.
  4. Slice your banana, and then cut the slices in half.
  5. Add blueberries in a row in the left corner of the toast to represent stars. Alternate the raspberries and bananas on the rest of the toast in rows to look like stripes.
