Blueberry Peach Push Pops

When I was a kid on very special occasions my mom would get us Flintstones push pops.  My siblings and I seriously thought they were the best thing ever.  The other day I was perusing online and found push pop containers.  Of course I had to buy them to bring back the nostalgia for myself, and let my kids experience a push pop for themselves.  These Blueberry Peach Push Pops  are fresh, sweet and delicious.  They are not only a treat for your kids, but a full serving of fruit!

I love peaches in the summer.  They are so sweet and I love when they are dripping with juice.  They are definitely one of those fruits that you can only get in the summer which makes that all the more delicious.   We planted 2 peach trees in our yard a couple years ago, and I can’t wait every year for the peaches to be ready to pick!  Combining juicy peaches with sweet blueberries makes the perfect pair for these summer pops.  I combined fresh blueberries, fresh peach, plain Greek yogurt, and vanilla almond milk.  Blend in a high powered blender.  Then pour into your containers.  You could also use frozen blueberries and frozen peaches if you want to make this when those fruits aren’t in season.  Frozen fruit is actually nutritionally equal to fresh in most cases, and if you are freezing them after anyway it is a great option when fresh isn’t available!

I found these containers on Amazon.  They are BPA free washable, reusable, recyclable, and freezer safe!!

Pour the fruit mixture into the molds, and freeze!  This recipe will make about 6-8 push pops depending on how full you fill them.

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 medium peach
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt, plain
  • 1/2 cup almond milk, unsweetened

Instructions

  • Blend together in a high powered blender until smooth.

Yummy, refreshing and something different for your kids to try!  They won’t need to run to the ice cream truck when they can run to your freezer to get these!

This looks very refreshing for a hot California day. I work at a preschool and am always trying to find healthy food to make with the kids. This would be great!!!

I see chobani yogurt in the picture… Did you know the milk in them come from cows that are fed GMO treated grass?

I use the skin. I have a Blendtec and it blends everything very fine. If you don’t have a high powered blender, then you may want to peel it first.

No. I stand them upright so they freeze in a circle. Otherwise they would freeze slightly slanted which makes them a little more difficult to eat for kids.

You can use another fruit, but it will be a different pop and I’m not sure how they would turn out 🙂 I don’t add sugar to my homemade fruit pops because I feel like the fruit alone makes them sweet enough. I’m sure combining most other fruits with peach would be delicious.

I clicked on the link for the push up pops containers you recommend sold on Amazon and their is nothing in the description that says they are BPA free. Food grade plastic does not mean they are BPA free. I called the company that sells them and of course they were closed so I left a voice mail requesting someone call me back with infoas to whether they are BPA free or not. Hopefully someone will return my call. I will not buy these unless they are guaranteed BPA free as I havwe recently be readin up on BPA and it is a cause of cancer. What a world we live in. Nothing is safe for us anymore. We have to be diligent in our efforts and speakout about things like this. Thanks for all your wonderful recipes. I just thought you would like to know it doesn’t say BPA free.

In the freezer? My freezer has shelves that are like a grate, and I just put the stick part through it and it stands up. You can also turn over a small cardboard box and poke the sticks through it that way.
