Healthy Summer Party Treats
Happy Saturday, all! It’s Holly from Maison Everett. What are you up to this weekend? We are celebrating my son’s 3rd birthday today! Since he is still young, I try to keep the celebration fun and simple. I have the best time searching for recipes to serve our family and friends. And since it is a summer birthday, it means I always have a lot of options that are fresh, delicious and easy to enjoy by many fingers (both big and small). Do you have a birthday to celebrate soon? If so, you’ll love this round up of healthy party treats that are perfect for a summer birthday celebration! DIPS + SALSA: I love to include one of each with fresh veggies or chips to go with them. I made the homemade peach salsa below for my son’s first birthday party, and it was such a hit that I’ve repeated it the following two years. It’s safe to say it’s a tradition for his birthday parties from now on! Child Friendly Hummus with Crudites & Homemade Peach Salsa Shrimp Ceviche & Strawberry Salsa w/ Baked Cinnamon Chips
FINGER FOODS: Since cake + ice cream is usually a given at birthday parties, I try to select finger foods that include fruits & other whole foods easily enjoyed by little ones and adults alike. This popcorn recipe is a favorite of mine!
No Bake Mini Fruit Pizzas & Grape Poppers
We’re also having a lemonade station with a few different options for our guests to enjoy! It’s the perfect compliment to the summer heat. If you want to do the same try this frosted lemonade, mint lemonade, frozen strawberry peach lemonade, or lavender lemonade. They all sound delicious!
Enjoy your summer celebrations!
