Healthy Chia Seed Puddings that Taste Like Dessert
G’day folks! It’s Arman here, back again for a delicious round-up to share with you today!
I tend to be one NOT to jump on health food trends.
I remember a few years ago when kale was slowly becoming more and more mainstream. From massaged salads and blended in green juices and baked into kale chips, they were ALL the range.
I, however, was NOT a fan.
Then came coconut oil. From being added to baked goods, topped over hot oatmeal and even used as a face mask, they became more readily available, outside of health food stores.
I, however, was NOT a fan.
Then came chia seeds. Chia seeds were touted as the new ‘cool kid’ on the food block. I tried it in the infamous ‘pudding’ form and never touched it again- It was bland, boring and flavorless.
Recently, however, I started experimenting more with incorporating these powerhouse seeds in my diet. I started by adding it to some oatmeal recipes (they work as a fantastic binder!) to throwing over some greek yogurt. I then decided to give chia seed pudding another chance, this time with a twist. Instead of their usual bland base, I amped up the flavor by incorporating different flavors, combinations and textures and soon enough, they became a common breakfast or snack option!

I’ve turned my nose up at chia in the past, but I did buy some the other day because I want to give it another chance. Your recipe is perfect timing!
I’ve never used before but would like to try. Are these crunchy though? I absolutely hate Berry smoothies because of crunchy seeds that get stuck in your teeth and I dont want to be disappointed here!
