Guacamole Ice Cream Cones
So, the way we made ours was to
- take 6 inch whole wheat tortilla’s (you could make your own)
- Then we sliced the tortilla in half
- Then rolled them into a cone, secured with a toothpick.
- Placed on parchment paper
- Brushed with olive oil
- sprinkled with chili powder
- Baked at 350 for about 7 or 8 minutes.
- Mashed avocado
- 1 tsp lime juice
- salt and pepper to taste.
Do you add anything else to your guacamole? My kids seem to like it plain, and so do I.

Interesting! 🙂
I’ve always thought of guac as more of a condiment. So to me this is like eating a tortilla full of mayonnaise.
LOL.. they are actually really small.. think of it as healthy mayo 🙂
My family of little ones loves guac made with garlic powder, salt, lemon juice, taco sauce and sour cream. It is called green sauce here though (easier to say). But for whatever reason they only like it made with hass avacados and not the large local florida green.
We like to add fresh salsa to our guacamole. I am totally tweeting about this recipe, it looks so good and talk about creative! 😀
I use avocados, garlic salt, fresh lime, pepper and a couple tablespoons of some good salsa (Herdez or El Pinto) – YUM! Thanks for the recipe and idea, they look so good!
These are really cool! My son is 1.5 and can’t wait till he can appreciate cooking with me..
I got a recipe from Heavenlyhomemakers.com for spicy avocado dip and it is addicting – 2 avocados, 3/4 cup salsa, juice of 1 lemon or lime (I prefer lime), and 1/2 cup of sour cream. Once I was out of salsa so I used taco sauce instead (of course not as much) and it was divine!
I like to add some jalapenos to mine to make it a little spicy. I love the ice cream cone idea. So clever!
What a cute, healthy idea! I have a picky toddler who might enjoy this unique “ice cream” treat.
I LOVE guac!! I always have to add a small amount of very thinly sliced red onion and some cliantro. Yum!! I think my 2.5 year old will LOVE this!
I like garlic and cilantro in mine! Yum! Can’t get enough of this stuff!

For those with an allergy to wheat, such as myself, I would assume that corn tortillas would substitute nicely.
For me I love it with avocado, lemon juice, finely cut onion, sweet chilli sauce and salt
But for my kids I would do it plan with just the avocado, lemon juice and salt
Luckily this condiment like filling is made of only veggies and seasoning making it healthy and soooo yummy 🙂
A food truck in Florida made guamas cones, filled with a mix of hummus and guacamole but also a bunch of carrots celery etc to eat, the cone just held the dipp
