This is when I was particularly grateful for friends who came bearing gifts of the edible kind!

How many of these can actually be eaten while holding a baby (one handed)?
My son is six weeks old and I’m nursing him. We were blessed by our friends’ generosity in providing meals for us! But my advice for others would be to avoid beans (not green), cabbage, and any other gas producing foods in meals for nursing moms. After one meal of brussel sprouts (which we made ourselves without thinking), I learned that those gassy properties pass on to babies in breast milk and make for very upset tummies and yucky diapers! 🙁
Excellent post Ciara, thank you so much for including my Chilli Prawn Pasta Salad:-)
Nice post, but I’d love to see some gluten free meals. I struggle to bring meals to friends because so many of them have children that require gluten-free dinners.
Saffron rice, chicken and green beans
With cottage cheese and peaches
Taco meat, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, soft and hard shells with sliced apples and carmel dip
I make certain that all of the dishes are served in throwaway serving ware.
