  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup apricots, dried
  • 1/2 cup cranberries, dried
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  • Simmer apple juice, brown sugar, and water in a small saucepan, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved.
  • Add dried fruit, spices, and vanilla; simmer 5 minutes more or until fruits are plump and liquid is slightly thickened.
  • Serve chilled.
