Pumpkin Hummus with Pita

  • 15 ounce chickpeas (garbanzo beans), canned
  • 2/3 cup pumpkin, canned
  • 4 tablespoon maple syrup, pure
  • 2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Serve With

  • 2 large pita, whole wheat


  • Drain and rinse chickpeas. (For the smoothest hummus, remove the skins from the chickpeas if time permits.)
  • Add all hummus ingredients to a blender or food processor, and blend until smooth. Drizzle in more oil a little at a time if needed.
  • Cut pitas into triangles and serve alongside hummus.
