Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat berries
  • 3 cup water

Toppings

  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cup yogurt, plain
  • 2 medium banana
  • 1/4 cup almonds, sliced

Instructions

  • Add wheat berries and water to a small pot.
  • Bring to a boil over medium high heat, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 40-60 minutes until the kernels are plump and some have begun to split. (The only real way to tell if they are done is to try them.)
  • Meanwhile, whisk together honey and yogurt. Slice bananas.
  • Serve wheat berries warm, topped with yogurt mixture, sliced bananas, and almonds.
