Cook pasta according to package directions. Allow to cool. Dice pepper and onion. Quarter and slice cucumber.
Place the cucumber slices into a colander set in the sink, and sprinkle with salt. Set aside and allow to drip.
In a salad bowl, mix together the onion, pepper, lime zest and juice, cilantro, sugar, until thoroughly combined and the sugar has dissolved.
Drain the cucumber slices, and pat them dry with paper towels. Stir the cucumbers into the salad. Chop the ham; add to the bowl along with the cooled pasta. Toss to combine. Peel and dice avocado. Gently toss the avocado with the salad and serve with grapes.
