Instructions

  • Combine warmed milk and yeast, set aside for 10 minutes to proof. Meanwhile, combine flour and salt in a medium bowl and create a hole in the center. Add honey, butter, egg, and proofed milk mixture. Mix well, and then drop onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes, or until slightly elastic. Place in a large, greased bowl and cover. Allow to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  • While the dough rises, mix the filling by combining chicken, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, garlic, salt, and green onions. Mix well.
  • Once the dough has risen, begin to pre-heat the oven at 350* F. Split the dough into 12 balls and roll the balls out on a floured surface so that they become about as thin as a tortilla. Place equal amounts of the filling into the center of each flattened ball. Wrap the edges of each ball on to the top and press together well to seal the "pillows."
  • Flip each pillow so that the seam side is down, then brush the tops and sides with egg white. Roll each in bread crumbs and then place on a baking sheet, again seam-side down.
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until the pillow tops are golden brown. Remove from baking sheet and allow to sit for a few minutes before serving.
