Blueberry Chia Jam is quick to thicken on your stove-top thanks to the gelling power of nutritious chia seeds. Just three simple wholesome ingredients make this perfect spread for toast or waffles!

  • In a medium sauce pan, combine the blueberries and chia seeds. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat. Cover and cook until the blueberries start to break down and the jam thickens, about ten minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • Using a potato masher or large fork, crush the berries to your desired texture. If you like a very smooth jam, you can use an immersion blender to puree the berries.
  • Once the berries are mashed, stir in the maple syrup. You may serve the jam warm at this stage!
  • Allow jam to cool before transferring it to an air tight container. Store in fridge for up to two weeks.
