Dipping Broccoli (Lemon White Sauce)

  • 2 tablespoon butter, unsalted
  • 2 tablespoon flour, all-purpose
  • 1/2 tsp lemon peel, raw
  • 1/8 dash salt
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon lemon juice


  • Melt butter in small saucepan.  Stir in flour, lemon peel and salt.  Continue to stir until it begins to thicken and be well mixed.  Stir milk and lemon juice in and stir over medium heat until bubbly and thick.  Serve poured over vegetables, or on the side for dipping.
