Nut Crusted Fast French Toast

Make fast french toast that is packed full of healthy nutrients!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of ground nuts any variety
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 slices whole wheat bread

Instructions

  • Grind nuts in a food processor or blender until you have 1 cup of ground nuts.
  • In a separate bowl, mix eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon.
  • If choosing french toast sticks, slice bread into strips.
  • Dip bread in egg mix, then in nut mix.
  • Cook on hot griddle on both sides until egg is set. 
  • If you want crispier french toast, add 1 TBL of butter to the pan. For healthier, but softer french toast, just use cooking spray.
