Want healthy meals your kids will love?

Frozen Yogurt Pops

One reason I love our neighborhood is because we have kids running from one house to the next all summer long. The downside of that is that the kids go from house to house asking for Popsicles to cool them down. By the end of the day they probably have had 4-5 each. This is why I like having a guilt free type of Popsicle on hand at our house. These will still put a smile of their sweet, hot faces but cool them down at the same time. I absolutely love these easy go-to Frozen Yogurt Pops.

Just 4 Ingredients

With only 4 healthy, kid friendly ingredients you will have a pop that will make them go AHHH. All you need is plain yogurt, banana, mixed frozen berries, and honey. You toss all the ingredients into a high powered blender and puree. Divide evenly between paper cups then cover with aluminum foil and pierce foil in the center with popsicle sticks to hold sticks in place. I placed a slice of a banana on the bottom of my paper cup to hold the stick up. It worked great and then you get a nice big bite of a frozen banana at the end. You then freeze them for 4-5 hours or until solid.

Try Different Flavors

You can use your imagination with creating your own fun flavors as well. The sky is the limit when it comes to making yogurt pops. Grab your kids, load them up in the car and take a trip to the local fruit stands. Have them pick their favorite fruits then take them home to have a fun afternoon making their own pops to enjoy whenever they want.

Oh boy, yesterday it got up to 101 here in Utah and these were the perfect homemade popsicle to have on hand after a day at the park. My kids would eat popsicles all day long if I let them and with these I would!  I love that the kids will help themselves to these easy and delicious frozen treats on a hot summer day and they don’t have to listen to me tell them ,”No you already had one. Stay out.”

Enjoy this refreshing snack!

Do you have something you use as an alternative to banana? I can not eat bananas, and it seems like every time I find a recipe that sounds good, there are bananas in it. I would love to have something to substitute. Thanks!
