  • 3/4 cup flour, whole wheat
  • 1 teaspoon wheat germ
  • 3 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoon grapeseed oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 none cooking spray

Serve With

  • 2 medium banana


  • Mix all dry ingredients together.  In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, oil and vanilla. Gradually add wet ingredients to dry and mix well.
  • Spray a non-stick skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium. Drop approximately 1/4 cup batter onto hot skillet; cook both sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Serve warm with your favorite pancake toppings and banana slices on the side.
