Slow-cooker Applesauce

  • 12 medium apple
  • 2 cup water
  • 3 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves, ground


  • Core apples and cut them into chunks.
  • Place all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hours.
  • When apples are tender, use a hand blender to puree until the desired consistency is reached. (You could also use a potato masher or place them in a regular blender instead.)
  • Serve warm or cold. Extras can be refrigerated for up to 3 weeks.
