There are so many ways you can make oatmeal! All of them are fast and easy for breakfast. This key lime pie oatmeal is absolutely delicious and changes the oatmeal scenery.
Oats are also a great source of:
- Copper and
- Vitamin B
But, since it’s coconut week, I’ll share one of my favorite ways to make oatmeal. We call it, Key Lime Pie.
Oatmeal is a delicious way to eat a healthy and filling breakfast! This breakfast can fill me up for hours. For this oatmeal, we cooked some regular oatmeal, and then for flavor added lime zest, coconut, and crushed graham crackers.
Need more inspiration? I look through the dessert recipes in my cookbook. It’s easy to think of more ideas, like: Strawberry shortcake, peanut butter cookie, chocolate chip cookie, PB-Chocolate chip cookie, smores, apple crisp, etc.

“Key Lime” Oatmeal
- 1 1/2 cup oats, dry
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoon honey
- 1 medium lime
- 1/4 cup, crushed graham crackers
- 1/4 cup coconut flakes
- Cook oatmeal according to package directions. Once almost cooked, add vanilla, honey, and juice from one lime.
- Stir, and cook 2 minute more. Add desired toppings.
