Healthy Whole Wheat Banana Bread

  • 2 1/4 cup flour, whole wheat
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 medium banana
  • 1/4 cup yogurt, plain
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 large egg
  • 1/3 cup butter, unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  • Preheat oven to 350 F, and grease a light-colored or silicone loaf pan with a bit of butter. Set aside.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, and baking soda to a large mixing bowl, and stir with a fork until combined.
  • Mash the bananas and heat the butter until just melted. Add butter and bananas to the mixing bowl along with the vanilla, honey, eggs, and yogurt.
  • Mix wet and dry ingredients together until combined. Do not over-mix.
  • Pour batter into the greased loaf pan and bake until set, 40-50 minutes.
  • Cool before slicing.
