Cook rice according to package if not done beforehand. (1 cup rice uncooked)
Begin by cutting sausage into smaller, bite-sized pieces. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook sausage until browned and no longer pink; 2-3 minutes.
Add olive oil and chopped peppers, onions, turmeric and salt to pan. Cook 3-4 minutes, stirring to keep from sticking. Add rice, broth, and shrimp; cook for 1-2 minutes longer or until thoroughly heated.
