Kids Eating Salad with Kid Friendly Vinaigrette


According to Wikipedia, a vinaigrette dressing is made by combining oil with vinegar, then adding some flavorings, herbs, or spices.  I’ve been anxious for letter-V week, so I could share our favorite version of Vinaigrette! There are a million and one ways to make this, and it’s great to keep trying different combinations till you find one your kids will love to eat salad on.  For starters, here is our very simple, basic

Raspberry Vinaigrette!

  • 1/2 cup raspberry vinegar
  • 6 TBL Olive Oil
  • 1 TBL Dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Mix very well with a whisk, shaking in a bottle, or even in a blender.  This dressing is delicious over:

  • Green leaf lettuce
  • spinach leaves
  • sliced strawberries or raspberries
  • pecans
  • feta cheese.

Yum, yum, yum!!! Love spinach strawberry salads with a “fruity” vinegarette. Personally, my kids don’t like the dressing, but they will eat the salad plain. We’ve been making this salad with the spinach and strawberries from our garden. There are no words… No words…
