Healthy Halloween Snack Mix
Create a fun and spooky Healthy Halloween Snack Mix for your little ones with foods that are lower sugar to balance out this sugary time of year!
Ingredients
- 1 cup green peas, frozen
- 1 cup pretzels
- 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 2 large carrots
Instructions
- To make carrot pumpkins: STEP 1: Cut slits lengthwise down the carrot. The distance between your cuts will determine the width of your pumpkin stem. The depth of your cut will determine the height of your stem.STEP 2: Make a perpendicular cut from the edge of the carrot until it just intersects the first cut you made. You should be able to remove a pie-shaped section of the carrot. Repeat on the other sideSTEP 3: Slice into pumpkins!
- To make ghost cheese: Step 1: Slice cheese and use a ghost shape cookie cutter to make the ghost shapeStep 2: Use a straw to cut a circle for the mouth. Step 3: Use a toothpick to make two eye holes.
