We’re so excited to partner with Cuties this year to help celebrate the beginning of Cuties season, and get our kids eating more fresh fruit!


When I go grocery shopping, I often have two competing thoughts. One is that I want my kids to have fun, special food that they love to eat. The other is that almost all the “kid food” on the shelves is heavily-processed stuff that I don’t want around the house.

We rely on a few standard options throughout the year like raisin boxes and cheese sticks that meet both the fun and healthy criteria – but as soon as November rolls around, we’re thrilled we can pick up our first bag of Cuties!  

My kids love these adorable mandarins because they taste super sweet and they’re fun for little fingers to peel. Even my two-year old knows how to peel a Cutie.

As a mom, I love Cuties because they’re packed with potassium, fiber and Vitamin C. Kids need between one and three cups of fruit per day, and Cuties help us meet that goal, even on busy days. Look how perfectly they fit into a lunch box…


Confession: I knew I saw Cuties in the stores during the cooler months, but until this year’s partnership with them, I didn’t know that Cuties season officially begins in November! I have a lot to learn, and so do my kids.

Teaching our kids about where our food comes from — and why we eat strawberries in June and Cuties in December — matters so much to their lifelong health, and the health of the planet.

That’s exactly why this year Cuties is helping teach our modern-world kids about how food grows.

We’re glad to share a yummy recipe with you to kick off Cuties season! Try this sweet and sensational smoothie featuring Cuties in a way that you might not usually eat them.

This vibrant orange blend of whole fruits and veggies makes a great after-school snack. Pair it with a handful of almonds or a few whole grain crackers with cheese. Enjoy it, and enjoy the season!

  • 4 cuties mandarins, peeled
  • 1 fresh carrot peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup frozen peaches
  • 1/3 cup water


  • Combine all ingredients in a high-powered blender or food processor, and puree until smooth. Enjoy right away.
