That’s why we love making nice cream! We use frozen bananas and other frozen fruits to get a rich and creamy texture, sweetness and the flavors we all love and enjoy. We have a fun holiday dye free ice cream recipe for red, white and blue and we even make a delicious Mango Strawberry Banana Ice Cream. We love mangos for nice cream! Many people think that only bananas make a creamy nice cream, but mangos do too! Read all about mangos and even find some tasty recipes.

We highly recommend using a high speed blender or food processor for this recipe. It makes the process so much easier and a few ice cream nights alone are worth the purchase our blender.

This mango ice cream is so creamy since the bananas are creamy as well as the mango. Typically we all put sprinkles on our ice cream, but with our nice cream we like to use seeds or even chopped frozen foods. Chia seeds are our personal favorite since they give a little bit of a crunch. I know what you’re thinking, “chia seeds as sprinkles?!” As soon as we told our daughter that they were sprinkles she was digging her hand in the bag to put more on her mango nice cream. Then she was even licking the sprinkles of her little fingers. So fun! So not only is she enjoying nice cream as ice cream, but chia seeds as sprinkles. It can’t get much healthier than that!

We hope you enjoy our nice cream and you can try it with all different flavors and varieties. Another fun idea, you could even make a berry sauce and drizzle it over the nice cream!

Mango ice-cream looks so delicious !! And so easy to prepare the recipe. I will definitely prepare it today itself. Thanks for sharing this post 🙂

Nice cream is the best. My boy eats it up… I think it feels good on his gums, too. I’ve never made banana mango, though. Sounds like a perfect combination!

You can, but it would just be mango sorbet 🙂 If you want it a little creamier you could add avocado or even greek yogurt. Thankfully mango is pretty creamy on it’s own.

If you don’t want the bananas, use a can of full fat coconut milk. It is seriously the best ice cream I have ever had. My 3 year old would agree =)

Hi Gloria, the ingredients call for frozen mango, which you can pick up in the freezer aisle and most grocery stores. 🙂

I made it and it was easy to make and delicious! Thank you so much!!!

Do you think any other fruit other than mango could have the same result?

Hi Laura! I’m glad you liked it. We’re all about experimenting in the kitchen. You could certainly try with other fruits!

Amazing – Just tried this, halving the recipe. I also added 1 TBSP honey and half TSP vanilla extract, and the whole family enjoyed it (small portions) including my 4 yr old and 2 year old. Thank you!

This looks super yummy and super easy to make. I have a Vitamix too as shown in the pic. Don’t I have to add a little water/any liquid before blending? Will it damage the the machine if I just add the fruits w/o any liquid? Thx for sharing.

Hi Hansika! It definitely won’t damage the machine, but you may need a small amount of liquid to get the ingredients moving.

I don’t have a super high powered blender but have just purchased an ice cream maker. Could I blend these fruits fresh then freeze in the ice cream maker?

We haven’t tried that, but it should work just fine! Please let us know how that turns out for you! Enjoy!

I made this today for a celebratory treat tomorrow…it is sitting in the freezer. This is fantastic tasting! I used regular Silk Soy Milk, a dash of vanilla extract, and that is it. Since the pandemic, we’ve been buying pints of Ben & Jerry’s for our treats, which would concern me because of the saturated fat and sugar calories. I imagine this mango/banana ice cream is filling and it so much healthier. Thank you for posting this. I am checking out your other recipes.
