Roasted Chickpeas for Kids, 4 Ways

Ingredients: 3 cups cooked chickpeas (or 2 cans, rinsed and drained.)* 2 Tbls. olive oil *Note: If you're making the cinnamon-sugar flavor, use chickpeas with low or no added salt. Seasonings (Choose one per batch.) Cinnamon Sugar 1 Tbls. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon Cool Ranch 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. dried dill 1 tsp. dried parsley 1/4 tsp. dried basil Sweet Curry 2 tsp. curry powder 2 tsp. sugar Barbecue 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. paprika 1 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. cumin 1/2 tsp. chili powder Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
  2. Rinse and drain chickpeas, and spread on a cookie sheet.
  3. Bake at 375 for 40 minutes, shaking the pan once in the middle.
  4. Remove the chickpeas from the oven, transfer to a bowl, and toss with oil and seasonings of choice.
  5. Return the seasoned chickpeas to the cookie sheet and bake 5-10 more minutes, until they become crisp and fragrant.
  6. Enjoy immediately.
