Flavored Berry Water

While shopping at the local drug store, I found some ice cube trays in the shape of stars (for the fourth of July of course).  We enjoy making ice cubes of different foods, especially summer berries, and adding them to a tall, cold, glass of water!  So, yesterday, we chopped up some strawberries and blueberries to make some flavored ice cubes. I can tell you personally,  by the time these were frozen, they were in our water within minutes, and promptly consumed.  The kids kept checking the freezer every hour waiting for the final product.

Here is what we did:

Chop berries small enough to fill the crevices of your shape, and push into your mold.

Fill a squeeze bottle with water, and have kids drizzle enough water to fill the tray.  (I use these squeeze bottles a ton! For designer pancakes, snow cones, and more designer pancakes!)

Then, put in freezer and freeze! Pop out when completely frozen and add to water.
